Creative Studies Assignment week 1 part 2 : Respond and reflect to the Ken Robinson 2006 Ted Talk episode on creativity education and intelligence.

In my opinion, past schools do kill creativity. It is because of the worldwide education system that we live in right now. In the past, educations was never really about creativity, but it was only about what you need for work, jobs and professional careers such as medical doctors, engineers, legal lawyers and etc. But people were not that eager about artistic careers like music and dancing back then. Because most of them see it as a non-profitable career, or an unsuitable job for anyone.

But these days, the whole world is facing an education revolution. Slowly changing the present education systems to start motivating students and children to venture into artistic field educations and professions. Schools started to organize clubs and societies where students can join and make use of their artistic talents. People are starting to realise the importance of arts and creativity.

But creativity is not only limited to arts, but a wide range of scholarly interest and approaches involving several disciplines such as psychology, education, philosophy, technology, business studies, linguistics, economics and a whole lot more.

And there are difference between personality type and creative ability. In example, if you are a businessman, or CEO of a certain company, the creativity is not an artistic type, it could be, but it is actually more to creativity in finding solutions and problem solving in an organization. Certain ways of handling your clients  and your co-workers do take count a lot of creativity into it in order to keep the organization running smoothly as they should.

As for teachers in education, they will be using their creativity to adept to their surroundings. Especially the inner class environment and students. Because educators need to understand their students and quickly improvise from their current ways of teaching in class to something a little more exciting and fun for students in case they start to feel bored or impatient in class.

And that’s how we see a lot of famous people, celebrities and artists nowadays like Donald Trump as one of the world's most successful entrepreneur,  Sungha Jung and his guitar, Kurt Hugo Schneider as a youtube artist, and a lot more. Creativity shapes us a whole new world that we have never seen before. And everything needs to start from now in school educating the young ones generating their creativity from the very beginning.
